i love this

i really do

Pegosho responds:

Thanks Mark!

awesome

i love the choice of colours and shading. also the textures like the texture on the orange makes it look really realistic. great colourful work which is a mix between 60s pop art and the 80s because of the bright neon colours. those green arrows / flashes add some graffity vibe from the 90s to it so its all in the mix.

ive to admit i first thought this is samus aran because of the blue suit. are you still in the uk or back again?

sucho responds:

buh its not a suuuuuit.....

great work

haha pico = young prince charles
those ears
also he got nice BJ lips. really great shading and overall composition. but is pico only turning 3?

einharjar responds:

hahah!! I dont know what his age is. But, im guessing he is around 11 years old.

Thanks for the comment man, I really appreciate it..

epic

i want some street art like that to be everywhere. also kinda reminds me of a street art / pixel art hybrid. i dont know but there is just something retro about it like mega drive. love the colours and the epic shading which looks like such a terrible pain in the ass but boy it was worth it. ive got trouble nailing down if this is 100% flash or 100% photoshop or photoshop and flash mixed together. the black background with the stars and pink gloud and where it goes from black to green does not look like it could be done in flash but i might be mistaken. overall flash is your weapon of choice and favourite drawing background. anyways lovely work. this makes a good wallpaper and keep it up

sucho responds:

its photoshop. i never ever for never use flash to do illustrations. i do colour in bg's for flash animation but thats also done in photoshop (the artists do the bare lines in flash though to get crisp working lineart to give me) the reason it might look sharper than most photoshop drawings is that this beast was absolutely massive in resolution. i intended to do an 8.5x11 picture - same as printer paper size, but i couldn't decide on a starfield or green inky background, so i copped out and did both by mirroring. so it became 17x11 at 300dpi.....

oh front page

good sir
nice

Rutger responds:

thanks thanks c:

tedious work very worth it

haha gee drawing all that hair must have been a pain in the ass but it was so worth it. wonderful work :) is that drawn on cardboard or did you just add a cardboard texture on top of it in PS? loosk cool

HyperJive responds:

Thanks! it didn't take that long, the whole project was finished in a night. A really long night, but still just a night. I drew it directly on cardboard.

show em

haha great one show those furry fags how...something
you know
im a bit sick of all those furry fags just fagging up the internet everywhere and doing their awful sonic fan art. now they even have to ruin the ng art portal. so mi glad you did this one and you are taking the piss. gee i just cant stand modern sonic fans. i would love to see this dude animated.

LemurGimmick responds:

Rofl, I know what you mean, I've seen some pretty wtf sonic fanart in my days. Furries give so many things bad names these days it's always such a piss off.
And rofl, I've been debating over if I should invest time into doing an animation with this dude and some other game characters. Perhaps I shall eventually, haha.
And thanks for the score!!

you've got a distinctive style and thats why you w

hahaha ive NO IDEA what ot say about this one. its just SO FUCKED UP - genius. first of all the fact that their eye balls seem to fall inside their eye socket is just hilarious and a great idea - fucked up and great. the detail on the guy- just making him über hairy is hilarious as well. boy the facial expressions are the best thing about this. its cool to see how you add a lot of depth with the simply method of just adding a shadow and some nice texture. it works so well- its amazing and cool. overall great work, more please.

dimitrikozma responds:

MarkP0rter,
Thanks for your review! Was really great and give energy to create more! :-D

what i like the most about this

are just all those eyes. great bird eyes. the pose of the black one is very cool as well. like the white spots on it's fur.

J-qb responds:

yeah... the black one turned out best...
Thanks

Amazing and mystical

GEE! I REALLY enjoy this. I don't even know where to start. Maybe the colours which are just outstanding! Just such a great choice of colours. The shading is wonderful as well. The big parts of black just add this whole night feeling, something mysterious and cool. The heavy black parts are just awesome. I also love how you play around with the red and yellow for the windows and some are even dark blue. In most drawings its often just yellow windows and the rest doesnt get drawn at all or some lights are turned off but you add a lot of variation to this. I really don't mind that people are blue. It just fits so well. Im wondering if their real skin colours is blue or if it's only the light in the car. I love those red lines next to the car. I bet thats supposed to be travelling lights like when you change the shutter of your camera and just shoot some moving cars. The green iron arch bridge whatever it is at the top is some nice hmm introduction to the picture- like a border that cuts the picture off or leads you into it if you know what I mean. If that's a cover for a comic I want to read it VERY badly :)

UNDERNATION responds:

thanks for the great critique, usually folks don't take the time.
Sadly though this isn't a comic, might be doing a couple noir books with some writers in the coming months.
